The overall transformation will be gradual, but you should start seeing positive results fairly quickly. Here they are:
1. Coffee–Free Day
Stay away from coffee because being over-caffeinated have a negative effect on the chemicals that regulate mood and can affect serotonin synthesis, an imbalance of serotonin is believed to lead to depression, in the brain.
2. Drink Green Tea
Even though green tea has caffeine but it also has L-Theanine, known to work with caffeine to boost mood and have no side-effects. Green tea has been shown to reduce stress as well as boost dopamine, the pleasure hormone.
3. 15 Minutes Walk
Exercise is fundamental to mood. If 30 minutes run everyday is too much for your schedule then a 15 minutes through the neighborhood help releases endorphins, feel good and happy hormone, to the brain.
4. Open the Curtains Halfway
Go to sleep with the curtains halfway open to allow natural light shine in and that will prompt signals to your brain that it’s time to wake up by decreasing melatonin production and increase adrenaline.
Have a little sugar in the morning for better memory recall all day. Orange juice is great with less than a teaspoon worth is all you really need.
6. Stretch Out
Before opening your eyes in the morning, stretch every extremity for 15 seconds. It will enhance the flow of blood through your body and an extra shot of oxygen to all your tissues to limber up with muscles and joints.
Spend 5 to 10 minutes every morning to listen to some music because it encourages creative thinking and a newer perspective of your day. Try cheerful and happy songs to increase endorphins and dopamine to help you feel good in the morning.
