We all know you love your tan skin in summer days, but a healthy skin is still more important than whatever. Try our 5 skincare tips below to make sure you are doing the best to nourish your skin daily.
1. Wearing sunscreen
Wearing sunscreen everyday, even in cloudy days or rainy days. Take precaution by applying a high quality sun protection, especially on areas such as the face and neck which are most at risk of early ageing. You can also using your makeup as SPF.
2. Using moisturizer
Missing out on moisturiser is never a good idea. Even if the skin is oily, it can still be dehydrated plus, avoiding moisturiser altogether can make the skin over-compensate with further oil production. Instead, switch up your moisturising cream to a more lightweight lotion or fluid-based formula.
3. Cleanse Twice a Day
When the days are hot, we tend to sweat more and all that moisture accumulates on our skin to clog pores. Twice-daily cleansing will help prevent the appearance of blackheads, whiteheads and other types of blemishes.
A light foaming cleanser will be best for mornings, but you can switch to an oil-based cleanser at night to also help remove your makeup.
4. Exfoliate Less
Chemical peels, exfoliants, and retinol can leave skin vulnerable to sun damage, pigmentation, and aging, so let’s save exfoliants for nighttime or limit exfoliating to twice a week.
5. Throw Some Shade
Wearing a large-brim hat and oversized sunglasses will reduce sun damage, sensitivity, dark spots, fine lines, and dark circles.
